I have used the chaps from Dan's Hunting Gear for several years now and absolutely love them. Extremely durable. I wouldn't trap dryland again without them.
57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

I bought a pair of the Gamehide heavy duty chaps last year. I’ve got no complaints. Full zip sides are nice, they're very durable and fairly cheap for chaps.

I don't much wear them for the line
but I have a set of Dans Brush Busters I wear for bird hunting and even deer hunting if I am walking through a bunch of brush.

this is really just because I have become a lazy trapping farms , rubber boots and hardly have to walk 100 feet from the truck usually not more than 30

Dans advice was you want them the right length even if that seems short measure actual inseam with your pants on how they hang normal I think mine measured out at 28 even though I would normally wear a 32 inseam pants

then go a size larger in the diameter so they have a little breathing room.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I couldn’t find a pair of JC Connor’s so bought a pair of Dan’s on recommendation from here. I really liked them when kneeling on wet ground or snow. Not sure they replaced a tarp/kneeling pad for scent control but I feel they help.

Chaps are for working cattle in mesquite or piñon or something

I got a pair of Wickes a long time ago for running Beagles, and will wear them when cutting firewood, or on the trapline where I'm, gonna hit briers/blackberry's etc.

I don't like them for trapping, gotta wear chaps at work. Hot metal silver chaps now that's at must.
