For you guys that dip bodygrip traps especially 280 and 330 sizes in rustoleum mixes or speed dip mixes what containers are you guys using? There has to be something out there that would work great besides a large tote. I want something afew inches thick but just big enough for 330s.

Like you say, a tote. I use a Rubbermaid that’s about 6” tall. I tried a shorter one but kept having to top it up to cover the trap. When done it gets the lid and stored in the garage where it won’t freeze.

I use the bottom from my daughters old Guinea pig cage.

Meat lugs work good and are pretty durable. Pour the paint back in the can and wash out the lug. Something like this... https://www.zoro.com/crestware-bus-...cqqu-Blgc-BIzLRGeEmCEa8d8iwaAmx7EALw_wcB

I just dipped some 120's yesterday in some latex exterior paint thinned with water. It does a great job.

I used an old galvanized wash tub, the square kind that usually was in a stand with a second tub. Place the tub on a bucket to catch the dip after you pour it over the traps. You can dye a dozen traps at a time with as little as a quart of dip.

Just cut a plastic 55 gallon barrel down to whatever height you want. Extremely durable and usually can be had for free…you can’t beat it.

Those are dipped with a mix of rustoleum flat black and acetone. 1 part paint to 2 parts acetone.

I use a mortar mixing tub, you can find them at home depo or Ace. I can fit a 12x16 Minasota brand trap in it. They are about 4”-5” high. Come in two sizes. I use the small for dipping traps, I use the large for putting cage traps on when taking care of what’s inside. They work great for keeping the mess down.

I do mine in a #2 or #4 washtub. I can’t remember the size. But lately, I’ve used a concrete tub. Like an otter sled but small and less expensive. When I’m done I pour it right back in the containers.

Luckily my buddy, the maker of the 'war wagon', owns a welding shop. They get their chain in 15 gallon steel drums, miniature 55 gallon drums basically that have a lid with a clamp to seal them up. Perfect size for 330's even the belisle's.

I don't do that many, but when they get as big as a 330, I hit mine with rattle can spray paint. The rustoleum brown primer is pretty tough stuff.
