Does anyone have handy the apple pie drink recipe that was shared here years ago? I have a batch of fresh cider coming.

Apple Pie Moonshine
1 gallon of GOOD PASTEURIZED apple cider
1 gallon 100% NATURAL apple juice WITH NO SUGAR ADDED!
3 cups white granulated sugar
9 GOOD QUALITY cinnamon sticks (I use McCormick)
1 750 ml Bottle + 1 Pint of 190 proof Everclear for a TOTAL of 1125 ml

Directions
1. In a large stock pot, combine the apple cider, apple juice, sugar, and cinnamon sticks ONLY.
2. Bring it to a boil, then turn down heat and let it simmer for 1 hour. Take it off the heat and allow it to thoroughly cool.
3. Strain the COOLED mix through a NEW or CLEAN piece of SHEET or PILLOW CASE THREE TIMES into another pot one or two times or until there is no sediment in the second pot.
4. Add the Everclear and stir.
5. Pour into 16 pint mason jars, or glass bottles, store in cool dry place or you can keep it refrigerated.

NOTE: If you SIMMER it for an hour after it boils and let it cool properly before adding the Everclear, this process will "age" it and it will be ready to consume immediately just as if it had "aged" for a week or two.
Enjoy!
:-)

190 EV COST -
Pint - 375ml $10.00
750 ml - 15.00
1.75 ltr - 1750 ml - 34.00
Apple Cider - 6.00
Apple Juice - 6.00
Cinnamon Sticks - 9.00
Sugar - 2.00
16 Pint Jars - 16.00 Case +

ST = $ 64.00 - $4.50 PER

PS . . . prices may have increased since :-(

It is just like drinking a glass of liquid apple pie that your grandma used to make. You'll be tempted to put in a scoop of vanilla ice cream in it.
Very easy to get absolutely hammered on it.

190 proof everclear can be hard to get some places. Especially Pa. Todd might be able to get it with having a lure business. They'll sell it to ya if you use it for tincturing.

My recipe is as follows.

3/4 bottle 151 everclear.
3/4 bottle 151 Admiral Nelson Spiced rum
1 gallon apple cider
1 gallon apple juice
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
3-5 cinnamon sticks

Combine all ingredients (except the alcohol) into a pot
Bring to a boil while stirring constantly
I let mine boil for a 5 minutes.
Turn down and let simmer for atleast an hour.
Turn off and let cool down to room temperature on the counter or stove top.
Once cooled below 90 degrees add alcohol.
Stir until thoroughly mixed
Add to jars give it a little stir every 2nd or 3rd jar to keep everything mixed nicely.

I put mine in the fridge and ignore it. Every so often I give each jar a shake to mix things around.

You can drink it right away. I find it's better to let it "age" for at least 6 months. It will mellow out.

I've also done it in a programmable crock pot.

Havent made any in years, but a recipe isnt complete without nutmeg, brown sugar and a touch of spiced rum in addition to the everclear. Might be time to make a small batch....

I have heartburn from reading those recipes.

eek

A sip is fine, but more than that and it eats me alive. Any of the sweet booze drinks are off limits. Sucks because I used to love applepie and homeade fruit shine
