for the people that don't want to mess with, the skunk essence, this is now i skin my skunks,



so first I cut off front legs, then around back legs, then across belly leg to leg, then up to the backside to the tail, leaving a patch of fur between leg, snipe off tail with cable cutting, then you are free to finish up, I put tail bone in vise and use tail stripper, once you get use to this way start to finish is about 20 min, of work time, as you can see in pic,

Very easy to over flesh these early buggers. With a little fat left on, what ambient conditions and how long before you pull em off the board? Mine are about a week at 68 degrees, 50%ish humidity and lots of air flow. I also wiped em down every day or two.

Mine are all frozen up too. I'll do them with this falls fur.

I did those 6 a couple months ago in the heat with the doors closed to keep the flies away what a mass and heat that would make ya sick had to split up the job and lots of oil from the fat. I’d rather do a better job under better conditions it’s easier all around. If I get the A/C up and going it would not be so bad.

Going to be 80's during the day all week here. This heat won't end. Only 3/4 inch rain in the last 2 months.
No cool shed for me to hang them.

With few exceptions most critters here are considered vermin with no closed seasons that is mostly to make ADC control easier and less complicated when needed.
