Go watch the vids. Common denominator is nose ring, many with oddly colored or cut hair, and strangely rarely inked.
Just a personal observation I rarely find heavily inked individuals that I would write off as woke leftist. Most are strangely enough middle of the road libertarian/anarchist types and some even conservative. And I personally dislike ink of any type though I would never mistreat a person with ink without just cause. o I get it . and always have preconceived ideas baised on how people look as soon as i see them. But I have been wrong enough I dont Wright them off without letting them tell me through words and actions who they really are. Usually my first impression is correct but sometimes I am dead nuts wrong.

I expect employment discrimination is very common among applicants who have lots of piercings, rings, bolts, and ink. Probably hard to climb the business ladder, unless you own the business. Maybe if you are a genius scientist you can do it.
I worked for much of my younger days in marketing. Our customers were Fortune 500 corporations. I remember being called on the carpet once after I wore a brown suit to a Boston client's office, rather than a navy blue suit. Don't think I would have lasted a week if I had decorated my body. Granted, not all of us have to present ourselves so formally, but I can't see an advantage to decorating our bodies.
Discrimination? Wouldn't that be more... well not violation of dress code before being hired, but... just showing a lack of professionalism, I guess. I'm sure the people with the pierced noses and lips and studs and stuff could easily get hired if they removed their jewelry before the interview. I mean, if I was going to apply for a job at a bank, I wouldn't show up wearing Daisy Dukes and a halter top... so why would anyone expect to be hired when they show up wearing excessive jewelry? If someone chooses to look like their face lost a fight with a tackle box, more power to them, but do it on their own time, not the time of their employer's.
Proudly banned from the NTA.
Bother me tomorrow. Today I'll buy no sorrows.

Long haired freeky people need not apply. Signs, signs, everywhere signs. That's where we went wrong. Letting the dam hippies get away with their crap.

I got in an argument with a group about them getting visible tattoos indicating prior drug use. I was explaining that it probably wasn’t a good idea putting that out there as the first thing a possible employer may notice. They went on to tell me how they shouldn’t be judged based on appearances just before they called me a nazi for wearing a Trump hat. lol

I have 22 salaried professionals that work for me in customer success (post order management) so very customer facing. Several have colored hair and ink. When interviewed I ask several very precise questions to determine if they are a good fit. My team handles orders exceeding one Billion annually.
I myself have a visible tattoo on my forearm when wearing a short sleeved shirt. I find one’s actions a much better judge of character.

If someone has made the actions of getting loads of tattoos and piercings and dying their hair a noxious color, those actions definitely do help you judge their character. Those aren't the only actions to judge, but they are important ones. Keith
