I know Ohio has been hit hard with this… I’m afraid that we are seeing it starting here in my area… are you guys seeing this?
Another thing I observed, and I don’t know why,,, nothing except the flies will eat a dead EHD infected deer. Coyote nor buzzards will touch it.

Hit us several times in the last 10 years it’s tough to find a deer now let alone a nice one. Large portions of the state has no doe season now. Been seeing a lone deer track along the lake lately one lone track.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Its on my farm now. Kids found that sick fawn that died within 15 min. They have been smelling dead ones all around the farm as well. Farm is grown up more than normal since I worked a lot his year. I dot bushing may through July to avoid running over fawns. Typically only mow it in winter/ early spring and only sections. Right now my bees are all over a lot of my fall weeds.

Ehd came through about y years back and I went from seeing 12 deer around the farm in the evening every evening to not seeing one for 2 weeks.

Found 3 dead ones during youth season in a public ground area we hunt last season.

What I have noticed when it has run through our area is Ehd always hits hard during drought/severely dry weather like most of us have had this summer. With deer being congregated densely on available water sources it seems to speed fhe speead of EHD. It hit us hard 8-10 years ago.

Yes it’s hitting our area of montana. I found a dead buck and a doe in the river and a neighbor called me and he found a doe dead. River is super low here and the back channels are all puddled up and full of bugs and algae. We need a good freeze to come early.

Hopefully not.

We got clobbered back to back years in ‘20 and ‘21. Finally starting to see an older age class again.

We’ve been extremely wet, and we already had a frost so hopefully we’re safe.
