I cringe every time I hear gender affirming care . I guess if you called it sexual mutilation of a child it might get unwanted attention. No different than legislation naming bills like the Affordable Care Act.It must work on the uninformed or ignorant or they wouldn't do it.

This sexual mutilation is insanity. Both the poor ill people who want it and the people who call it "affirming" care.

It’s simply mind boggling… you can’t possess a firearm, purchase cigarettes or alcohol and in some states legally get a tattoo until you are 21…
But you can have irreversible sex changes done to kids..

A child needs permission to do almost anything because their brains are not fully developed yet and lack the knowledge and abilities to make decisions. But if he thinks he wants a doll that’s somehow a legit reason to make a life changing decision for them.

There's a Federal Law against genital mutilation of girls under 18 and 41 states have similar laws against genital mutilation. Because of the popularity of circumcision, boys aren't protected. You would think those laws would at least protect the girls. I think they need strictly enforced against both the Muslims, who mutilate most Muslim little girls in the US and the trans supporters. 10 years in prison really doesn't seem long enough though.

I wish the medical community would focus on treating those with gender dysphoria by addressing the mental illness rather then mutilating the body, but right now it seems there is no money in that. We have the technical ability to do the physical mutilation, but not to fix the brain. What is incentivized is what gets worked. Whatever happened to "first do no harm?"
