A lot of you cast iron collectors like the older stuff , for good reasons.

I've known this for years , there are two types of PYREX , the older stuff is better. Not a lot of people know , so you can still get lucky and find an older piece for a good price unlike how many people now look for the older cast iron which has spiked up in price.

Video 21:29 explains it better than I could in a post.

Keep an eye out for the vintage stuff grin

I think you are wrong about not a lot of people don't know. It's pretty desirable.
I have enough because I have used it for 50 years so not in the hunt unless it's cheap. Condition and pattern are important for value if it's colored.

There is also a big demand for some of the casserole dishes with cover. My wife has been looking for a couple of smaller ones in second hand stores. They want $20-30 for a used casserole dish.

PYREX ( all capital letters ) are borosilicate glass - older production by Corning
pyrex ( all lower case letters ) are soda ash glass - newer/current manufacture under license to 3rd party , not Corning.

Borosilicate glass takes heat shock better than soda ash glass.

There has been a demand and prices going up for a bit for the older styles. That type of glass is talked about towards the end of the video. It is casually refered to Pyrex 2.0. It is the white colored casserole dishes and other things. But the demand is not for Pyrex 2.0 type glass but for the style like the old cornflower pattern.

The bulk of the video talks about the clear glass only which is referred to PYREX ( borosilicate) or pyrex ( soda ash )

Thanks! I collect some PYREX.... I enjoy the snowflake pattern in particular.

I didnt get a “pyrex” like baking dish set in the cupboard properly and it fell, exploding. With force. Pieces shot 20 feet away and i could easily feel the impact through clothing from10 or so feet. Turns out that stuff is dangerous.

Just shows you can learn something new.
From using borosilicate glass labware, I do know that it is a far superior product.

My takeaway from this; stuff made in the USA is now mostly throwaway junk....not too surprising.
