Ain’t no chicken egg. The tongue from a moose is around a 2-3# chunk of food that I would never ignore. And for you to proclaim that I have never ate a better cut is purely mornic.

I'm sorry Mike, I'm misunderstanding something. I don't believe I made such a proclamation. I was just attempting to reply to, and maybe poke at JP a little. My apologies if I said something to offend you.

Never had tongue, but would eat it, lol
The Jewish delis are pretty famous for it, along with pastrami.

We had beef hearts a lot when I was a kid, cause it was cheap, liver too, and other cheap stuff, but tongue somehow eluded us....

Can add that to a list of several parts I'll not consume...pig brains, chicken or pig's feet, any critter's liver, heart, or testicles.

There's more that ain't meant for human consumption, but yall get the idea.

the meat that tastes you back

sometimes called neck roast , but more accurately beef tongue.

Pho , tacos , burritos ,
basically any poor people food can be made with it

a good question for your pilot is how poor was you growing up? then sit back and I bet you get some stories.

LOL, bought a package of hot dogs recently, beef hearts were right in the front of the ingredients, no doubt tongue and a bunch of other "parts" were in there too.... but they were cheap and tasted like ...hotdogs... lol

That’s funny. Like the first time ever

My friend James gave me 3 beef tongues he had in his freezer.

I've had 3 steers butchered and they didn't give or ask me about the tongues. I guess they ground them or discarded them.

They aren’t as cheap in the stores as they used to be. Around $10.99/lb. locally.

Liver and heart are good and also cheap. Dad used to eat cow tongue so I've had it, but it's been awhile. I used to hate liver, but kinda like it now and it's one of the most nutrition dense foods there is.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

much like you have to know to ask about pigs heads , they split them and scoop the brains now , it costs a few dollars more to save them rather than discard them and it depends on the proccessor

I had one proccessor tell me they couldn't and a different one was 5 bucks more to keep it because of the labor of splitting it
