I decided to go check on some stands at the ranch it is that time of year. The beaver have been making a mess and need to set for them. The coons are stealing some melons and I did set a couple DP for them filling the tubes with melon and leaving the skins lay around the traps. I also picked some melons they are call Minnesota Midgets and are so easy to grow and mature early. Been eating them a month ago already. Here are few pictures of the day.

Called Minnesota Midgets Muskmelons are the size of softballs easy to grow and early maturing. I have been picking them for a month now and they were started with seeds last spring.

Snowy, can you save the seeds for those melons?

With them DP's that close you'll have a coon with both hands in the cookie jar. Heck you could catch me that way if you'd put some salt and black pepper on them. I like a good cantaloupe.

I dont know who or what dug that ditch...but that was a good job.

Yes, I do every year and are a very productive melon. The turkey and pheasants got all the seeds after I planted three times. So I quite planting after the third time. I was lucky they missed about 5 seeds and those 5 plants produced about 80 to 90 melons.
