To piggy back on the Free Speech thread, what is your opinion?

I would make the case that hate speech laws are a major reason for last week's murder.

When "words are violence" the response is always more violence. Some may, wrongly of course, even justify it as premptive self defense.

The problem is who determines what is hateful. I can't control how anyone else reacts or feels about what I say they alone are responsible for their reaction.

Say anything you want touch or attempt to physically or financially harm me and there will be a reaction. Again that reaction may bee seen as positive or negative depends on who is asked.

So anything labeled hate is just the left and now the right piggybacking off it. Play for emotional response.

when a society no longer has the same morals and values it will not survive. It can not survive. And without that there is no basis on what's right and wrong. Its moving goal post. Feeling based crap.

Hate speech makes about as much sense as hate crimes.

The ACLU (some of the lawyers being Jewish themselves) famously defended the rights of Nazis to march in Skokie, IL. Liberals in the past were certainly built differently. I wonder what happened.

We tend to use the terms leftist and liberal interchangeably, but in reality they're different things. Most of the people we call liberals now, are actually leftists.

There are better ways to fix our problems which we are faced with today.
Step One: Take our kids back. Eliminate the Department of Education. Give the responsibility back to the States where it belongs.
Our kids can't read or write, and the only science they're being taught is the pseudoscience of Catastrophic Climate Change.

Speech is speech and violence is violence.

My point is by categorizing something as hate speech aka words are violence the hearer of the speech now becomes a victim with rights of self defense. Defense against violence is more violence.

Classical liberals would understand. Our founders were classical liberals. The modern left co-opted that word because communist would never fly.

Don’t forget the Jews made it illegal to say anything bad about them before they wiped out 50million whites and Catholics during the Bolshevik revolution. That was 50% of the population at the time.
