I used to do ~11-11:30 two mile back when I was in fighting shape.

Did four in 24 once with full “battle rattle”. That almost killed me.

These days I don’t run. But I can still maintain a solid 3.5-4 mph with a rifle and denning kit over just about any terrain.

I run regularly. I can do a mile in 7:15 if I really want to. On a slower paced training run i average around 8:45

A quick Google search say average time for man 18 to 29 years old is about 30 minutes. You're super human.

I started running in my 30’s . Averaged 30-35 miles a week for 20 years. 25 full marathons many 5ks 10 ks and 9 triathlons. Always tried to improve my times. An old running coach told me don’t worry about your times too much. Enjoy yourself on your runs.He was right!!! I really miss it now at age 72 . Train at a pace you can comfortably talk at and be consistent in your program and listen to your body.

Loosegoose I’m old now at a few months from 60 but I’ve been more of a distance runner and didn’t sprint too fast as I needed gas in the tank for half and full marathon distances. I try to stay steady at about 9 to 10 minutes mile pace over that distance.
On short races like 5Ks I can do 8 minute miles and hold up OK.
I was never very fast but those have been my approx. pace times.

I’ve completed 28 half marathons and 2 full marathons. I didn’t start running until 2012 that was my very first half and I was hooked after that. Lots of 5Ks and 10Ks in between too those helped me train.
The Mrs. and I ran a half a couple years ago when I was still on chemo for my leukemia. I took chemo pills at 5:30AM while we were lining up to start. She chugged along with me to the finish. That one wasn’t very fast but man was it neat to run that with my wife. Will never forget that one.

Here is my collection.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I used to play softball with a bunch of marathon runners. They’d talk about the “runners high”.

I asked is that’s where you puke on the side of the track and keep going. Because ive had that!

Best I ever did was a 6:25 per mile half marathon when I was 32. Twenty years later I did a marathon but had slowed to 9:30 per mile to get to the finish line. I was not blessed with good foot speed. I never got below a 5 minute mile but could endure to run many miles.
