I just read this in the new NRA American Hunter magazine. After a short grace period, it will be a criminal offense for owning, buying, selling, carrying or using a machete except for special circumstances like working in Agricultural. However, a person will have to apply for a permit and demonstrate they are capable of owning one. “Our message to anyone with these weapons is simple - get rid of them or face the consequences,” said Victoria Minister for Police Anthony Carbines. Consequences are up to 2 years in prison and a fine of almost $32,000 in American dollars.

I didn’t read anywhere what they considered a machete is or the length of the blade. I guess it just has to be big and menacing looking like our AR15’s. Thankfully, we live in the good OL’ USA.

Banning migrants entirely would have a much better, overall outcome. It's mostly not British and Irish descendants hacking up people.

We need more Common sense machete laws ,, and there should be machete safes, and mandatory machete insurance for machete owners,,mandatory machete owners classes,,
Then there should be common sense rock laws,, we don’t want rocks falling into the wrong hands.

Let's not forget pitchforks. Man, those machete-wielding bandits will be all over those! And rolling pins! How about the stealth-oriented killers: No owning extension cords that are missing the female end! And it goes without saying that people should have to take classes and get certified to own screwdrivers with a shaft any longer than a stubby....of course then one would have to define what length a "shorty" screwdriver is.
