I just buy new chains when they go on sale then toss them in a box until I finally get to them. In a pinch or for a cut and toss job (stump) I use the stones that fit my dermal tool. You can see the angle when you grind the teeth.

About the same as a piecost.

25 degrees cuts deeper and throws bigger chips. 35 doesn’t cut as deep but is considered “low kick back”. Way I understand it anyway. Either way, you need to file the rakers as well after you sharpen teeth a few times.

depends on what kind of wood and if you are running semi-chisel or full-chisel

30 is typical for semi chisel
25 for full chisel

but each chain is designed to have a particular angle so you should check the chart.

I hand file so I follow what the chain had for the most part I am sure it gets off a little and adjust the depth to be as aggressive as the wood will take without loosing chain speed in the cut.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
