I know it’s probably a long shot , but I’m trying to remember and locate a particular issue of a trapping magazine.
I think the year was 1987… and I think it was the nta magazine,, there was an article by tom Krause.. he was trapping martens and staying in a camper out in the wilderness. There was also an article about proper mink handling…

I didn’t know there were any other trapping magazines out there at the time other than fur fish game.

When I was a young teenager,My family and I went to the Illinois State Fair and went to an area named “ conservation world “ it had just about every avenue that at the time was under “ Illinois department of conservation “ there were lots of different booths and exhibits…
There happened to be some folks from the Illinois trappers association who were set up there and on a table they had a few different free copies of trappers magazines..
I grabbed a few of them and I was in absolute heaven… the ads , trapping supply houses I had never heard of, fur buyers having contests for the best handled fur, etc.
I hid them inside my school books,, and instead of paying attention to schoolwork, I had my nose buried in them,, even though I’d probably read the same article 27 times,, lol.

Anyway, does anyone remotely remember this particular issue? Was it an nta magazine? Or another magazine?
If so, does anyone remember the month and year??

Would really like to find another copy of it, just for nostalgia.

Yes it was the NTA magazine there were plenty of pictures to go along with the story written by Tom Krause , who also has a trapping DVD out and is busy this time of year fishing for walleyes down in Wyoming .
