In Maryland, the LAW requires that ALL hunters have a WRITTEN permission paper IN THEIR possession for that property. All my hunters are issued one only, and signed by me with their signature also. GW's and Feds have access to my property at ANYTIME without contacting me first. Anyone caught or checked without that paper WILL BE cited and / or prosecuted without execption. I've only had two issues over the last 20 years . . . word got out fast . . . don't trespass / hunt here! Exactly. You forgot to send me my renewed permission by the way. Lol

It’s one of the main things I teach, always have permission to be where you are going to hunt in writing. Meet with the land owner and discuss any rules they may have. It is for you to hunt, not your friends.
Respect the landowner and clean up after yourself and others. You are there by permission, treat the owner, the game and their property with respect.
I talked to a person once that was complaining that a landowner wanted one doe killed before a buck was killed. They were complaining about it, complained to the landowner and aren’t allowed to hunt that property now.
Follow the rules. I know a lady who only lets you kill does. She likes looking at the bucks and wants them to live. So guess what… her rules, those 180” deer get to walk.

I'm looking for 4 deer hunters this year. My only request is that there is NO deer hunting with firearms during WF season. Guys last year didn't want to abide by the rules . . . they're gone :-)

So basically archery only late season.
Sounds reasonable.
Archery Season: Sept. 5–Oct. 15, Sunday Oct. 19–Nov. 28, Dec. 15–Dec. 19, Sunday Jan. 4–Jan. 8,Jan. 9–Sunday Jan. 11, Jan. 12–Jan. 31 . . . and since we don't have any ducks around . . . the only WF season we really have is goose which is 30 days , 1 bird, and it doesn't even start until : Dec. 19, 2025–Jan. 3, 2026 and Jan. 14, 2026–Jan. 31, 2026

Beef, chicken, and pork taste pretty and you have less chance of getting shot, probably about as much drama, but shooting’s are minimal at the grocery store. Folks getting shot while hunting is also pretty rare. Falling from tree stands, that happens more often.
