There's nothing wrong with singing praise to the Lord. You guys don't like gospel music?

TBH, I didn’t even look at the link he posted. It’s Vinke, it is usually nonsense.

I personally like some gospel music and I realize I shouldn’t assume he is just a crazy old coot.

Ok I'm confused , when you jump off a cliff do you meet Jesus or got to Hades ?

I seem to have been told , you can't jump or it's hades but that might just be mans lie to keep you here and paying taxes.

Seems like there is some dissent among christians if suicide is a one way ticket to hades or not. I figure thats why suicide among christians is not epidemic. I am unaware of any scripture that says it but a preacher told me once suicide is a murder of oneself. That same preacher once told me though that even a white lie was the same as murder in gods eyes. Religion is very confusing.

Maybe true believers fight to stay alive cause they worry about loved ones they leave behind?

I dont understand why christian funerals are such sad affairs instead of rejoicing.

because people are still very sad they lost the person they loved.

they are comforted by a belief of an afterlife , or it would be even worse.

even if the person who died is in heaven and all is perfect the person here is still very lonely and sad.

I agree. Physical separation is hard.

I was always told its a one way ticket but never looked into it myself. Not going to affect me becues im not going to do it. Maybe if I get terminal and in a lot of pain I would look into it.

Depends on the funeral. Some are sad becuse we no longer have that person and will miss them. sad four us BUT happy and rejoice for them. Last service I went to was for my Friend Michael. he knew deat was coming for months from cancer he was 3 years younger than I am and had a wife, daughter my oldest sons age and 3 younger boys. You bet your hind end the kids and wife are sad and want their husband and dad to wake up
But they know he is no longer in pain Is wit his creator and they will see him again.

We are sad for our own self reasons. And happy and rejoice at the same time.

I have jumped off a cliff a few time directly into the deep water below. I recommend waiting untill later in the year not very early spring when the water is still cold.

When enough people that a believer cares about are non-believers, it gets hard to remain a believer. Hard to worship a god that would send wonderful people to a lake of fire just for a lack of faith.

I don't understand your thoughts yotetrapper. I know yo believe in consequences for actions, why would belief vs. unbelief be any different.
Danny my bible says there is only one unpardonable sin and suicide isn't it.

.. not to speak for yote but there are good people that have to experience things in real life in order to believe… there are those that simply can’t just resign themselves to blind faith

…. The Levantine scriptures say those types are to be burned for eternity

… even though they were created that way by an omnipotent God
