They caught who they want you to think did it. Way too many holes in the whole sequence of events to think this idiot did it all by himself.

Has any new evidence come out regarding this tragedy, or is it just going to dry up and blow away like a fart in the wind like the Trump Assassination attempt? Do we know what the murder weapon was? I've heard that it was a 30-06 WWI era rifle; likely a model 1917. I personally find that hard to believe. Have any pictures been released of the alleged rifle?

Yes, there are photos. It was a 98 mauser sporter in 30/06 that was his grandfather's rifle. Don't know if it was a sporterized military surplus or one of the thousands of post war civilian imports. Probably the latter by photos I've seen.

Lot's of nonsense being floated out over it. No exit wound being the most prominent. But if it hit bone, the spine, there's no guarantee of an exit as many of have seen happen on deer.

You have any links to those photos of the gun Warrior? I haven't been able to find any.

Thanks!!

Hmmn. confused

I thought the narrative was that it was found wrapped in a towel? The police must have taken it out of the towel and put it in what appears to be a cardboard box that rifles generally come in when bought.

Probably taken after being documented as evidence, boxed to be shipped to the lab to dust for prints.

While I agree with you about there not being an exit on game after hiting bone happen now and again Charlie's spine geting hit did not line up with his reaction after the shot. that would have been instant disconnect and limp that was not the case clearly.
Also its more likely from 200 yards or less parts of his spine would exit along with the bullet after going through as little tissue thats in a neck.

Maybe not impossible but extremely unlikely. Personal experience of shooting and having seen the kids shoot several deer in the neck that has a lot more tissue than a human lead to my opinion. Add in most have been a 7-08 or 243 with smaller lighter bullets less likely to go as deep but all exited taking bone fragments creating 2ndary projectiles and more damage.

Not saying there was or was not an exit im not sure one way or the other. Only that I find it very hard to believe A 30/06 not shooting through 5" of tissue with 1.5 of it bone.

I did have a 7/08 not exit a deers head once. Shot was 80 yards and hit a little low entering its left side of its nose traveling through all that bone down the side . Main small chunk that that was left and didnt fragments off stoped under the skin on the back of the neck. But that was 8" of bone type material and more solid tissue with lighter projectile. Not 5" of soft tissue and maybe a little bone.

So if there was no exit I would look for why. The reaction was not a spine hit like I have ever made or seen. And we see a lot of reactions shooting quite a few each year. A few are neck shot each year.

Hopefully this is not to much for the sensitive folks. Just my opinion baised on the reaction and my personal experience in the field.

I thought it deflected off of the plate he was initially said to have been wearing
But the spokesperson for TPUSA said he wasn't wearing anything under his tee-shirt
Go watch the video again and watch the microphone on his shirt
If he wasn't wearing armor why does his shirt react like it does

Also, the people interviewed after said it sounded like a firecracker
I don't think a 30-06 sounds like a firecracker, do you?

Having seen a remington 150 gr corelokt come completely apart at ten yards on a frontal shot on a 125lb buck and not make it past the diaphragm I dont expect anything to exit short of a fmj. Without actual forensics or God forbid autopsy photos I just take them at their word knowing that no bullet ever perfectly matches on paper predictions.

a 30-06 bullet at 160 yards broadside often will pass through an elk. sometimes it may be against the skin on the far side. i dont believe a human neck would stop one at 500 yards
