I have to admit I’ve been absent from the forum for almost a decade now, but is everyone’s favorite lefty still around? Always loved his witty banter.

If memory serves, I believe he moved to Idaho. I hadn't posted in years either, but I'd stop and read often, and I believe I remember reading that.

Might be going by Blaine County now.

If not, you can't tell the difference.

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

Rude behavior and nasty posts by some on the forum drove him into the background. I don't agree with his politics but wish he would contribute, especially with the new rules on avoiding politics.

James said he had family in Idaho, a son iirc, and the reason he moved.

Having family rules out BC.

That is a pretty one-sided assessment. James gave as good as he got and was often the cause of the nasty comments he received by firing his own nasty comments before hand.

The stories on here are less interesting as we lose the characters that are in them. James had a place here. Too bad some people couldn't just have a good discussion with him without getting all worked up.

He had stories like moose hunting in Alaska moose hunting camp and being just fine staying by camp while the others ventured off and him bagging one next to the tent. He was a Ruger #1 man.

Like his politics or not he had good outdoors stories and its a shame so many people seemed to line up just to go after him... seemed like some of it was just b/c he was democrat lawyer... maybe now its easier for him to just stay silent.

I wonder what hunting trip he had planned for this year and or how it went? Guess we wont know.

Be nice to see a post from Matt too but that's not going to happen either. I wonder if he plans on making any skunk money this year? Guess we wont know.

Kinda sucks the old timers that leave. Its like the old timers retiring from work, nobody seems to appreciate the loss of knowledge. Shame.

I think its a stretch to paint James as a victim. He stirred the pot knowing what was coming. I will say that some take the "debating" on here too far. When you start attacking the person instead of the topic its a bit far. But James did it too.

The people who miss him being on here are far fewer than those who don't.

his arrogance and propensity to abandon the conversation when others made valid points (counter to his own) invited whatever abuse he took.

kinda like another barrister here.

I will say this...he was much smarter than his successor.

He could give a decent debate. Not so much for truth but mainly just content. He was that one around the camp fire that would say something and everyone look at each other with a puzzled look. I could care less either way. He was good entertainment.

Well, it was nice of BC to step into James's spot for the pack.
