Yesterday while eating breakfast our two dogs carried on when my wife tied them out while she was doing some outdoor chores, she came running in the house to tell me there was a big black bear that had crossed our lawn. She grabbed her phone to get a picture but was too late.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

We have bears around in the spring. Wife does not like it at all. So far they have not caused any trouble and I think it unlikely that they will. The population has been increasing but this year the firearms deer season has been extended from 2 to 4 weeks with the last 2 weeks overlapping the bear season. I suspect some bears will be killed by deer hunters as targets of opportunity.

You are right in the midst of good bear country Jim.
