Guys, I have a batch of no BS and some freedom brand dog proofs.. triggers are extremely stiff,, they can be practically pulled out of the ground without firing on a muddy bank, or sand,,
Have you guys ran into these things and have you figured out how to get them to work adequately?

I have noticed same thing and it seems to me the springs are a lot stronger than they need to be. Makes them hard to set and the extra friction makes them hard to fire.

Seems Duke DP's remain pick of current litter.

wax them , they will fire super easy then

I waxed my first set of DPs , caught a lot of mice in them they were that sensitive

I have had some triggers rust up and had to get them freed up , the notch on a couple needed a little cut with a file to make them fire decent when the trigger moved free but was still hard to fire.

Some the trigger hole is too big at pivot.
It went sideways too much. I bushed it with tubing.
Wax sure would do it, even just rubbed on.
My flyswatter has better tolerance,
but we like cheeeeep.

WD-40 works and the coon, skunks and possums don’t care. Clint Locklear posted this on his talk radio and free videos years ago. You must not have seen the memo

I had been using 3 in 1 because I bought it while I was out one day and needed light weight oil and some 0000 steel wool while at a cousins. it was what the store had reasonably cheap, so it rides in a door pocket and works and coons no care.

I had the bright idea to wax my DP's once. I could barely get them to stay set, and most would trip within a minute or two. Ended up melting the wax off the trigger notch and dog.

I have a can of food-grade silicon spray that I use on mine. It lubes them up good, and there isn't any odor as far as I can tell.

I have the original lil Griz's, the trigger pivot is tight, then you get a little rust or gunk and it gets very stiff.....I work them loose and put a drop of mineral oil on it...free swinging then...

Lot of dps are made a bit too tight on the triggers so they do take some occasional maintenance.

Food grade silicone spray is also kept in my pack
