Youngest just shot a white one. Saw it called his brother to bring him out a shotgun and shot it with 7.5s so it would not have large holes in it. it was not dead and bit my 15 year old. heading home from infusions to see the damage to his finger and trip back to doc regardless because of infection risk.

Youngest pland to pay to have it mounted but all the guys around hear mostly do deer. And the guy that did my daughters first squirrel did a bad job and after 7 years the hair started falling out. so someone good in animals besides deer seems like the way to go.

Recommendation needed. Thanks in advance.

Now if he would have left it alone for breeding stock. to late now.

I don't know any that do squirrels but saw some nice looking mounts by a taxidermist in Michigan:

I got one similar to your boys' a couple of years ago. I took it to a taxidermist in Missouri to have it mounted. As far as I'm concerned, his work is second to none.

thats cool. The one I had done my daughters first was a gray. I cut a burro with hole in it off a tree i was removing and had it mounted on it and hung that on the wall. I wish I had some pictures. Noting special about the standard gray squirrel other than it was my daughters first game animal.

It looked incredible untill about year 7 when the hair started falling out.. I was told it was due to poor tanning or something? But im znot educated on the ins and outs of the process. Not something I want to repeat. Way back then I it was $ 350 I expect it will be much higher now to find quality work.

Cool critter but looking at the background of the pictures it looks like it was taken in a homeless camp or something.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I guess the clutter in my back yard is not up to your standards. Good thing im not into manicured laws and yards and it suits us just fine. Well honestly that junk bike and my son's mower do get on my nerves. wife's gardening table is a mess But thats her thing.

Regardless I will take it and our 96 acers Over what would meet your standards.

I just came across this chunk of wood sitting beside a freezer I keep and forgot about several years ago just for more squirrel mounts.

I should have got more of my homeless cam yard in the picture for your enjoyment but it loads better croped.

Unlike in a picture of a homeless camp there's not a single piece of trash in the pictures.

Whoever you choose to do it,,, please share pics of it when it’s finished.
That’s definitely going to make a great mount!!

Will likely have a black one to add with it. My 15 year old keeps seeing a few black grays on his friends farm. I thought about sending my suppressed mark 2 along with him to get one while deer hunting but think a small gage open choke load of 7.5s would be better for a mount to look nice.
