this is a Wagner's Original 1891 , they were a early to mid 1990s cast iron , remake using the Wagner name sort of. supposed to be a commemorative I guess.

they are not what you expect from a Wagner they are thick , heavy and ROUGH

really rough

so a little of the Nessy die grinder treatment to smooth out the cooking surface a couple abrasive pads later it was a lot smoother , not polished but a lot smoother.

fire up the gas grill and start seasoning I had some avocado oil and I really don't use it for anything I was out of lard , so I gave that a try

about 3-4 thin coats and a little cook time and it was seasoned well enough ,made hamburgers in it last night those went fine

this morning ,I did 3 eggs over easy with no problem. that is the test by which everything gets judged , can you cook a fried egg in it.

I had picked this up as a 3 peice set for 15 dollars two years ago at a garage sale

I am giving it away , but I thought it a good candidate for the die grinder treatment to smooth out that cooking surface I did the bottom some also to make it set better on an electric burner , the person I am giving it to has an eclectic stove in an apartment. with almost no pans.

I should clean up the other 2 as well that would give them a set of 3 although I find the smallest ones not very useful.

Not just for cooking, but would make nice wall hangers too. Pretty cool, nice find!

I am not into wall hanger cast iron , I don't have room for all of my useful cast iron hanging in my kitchen.

also if anyone is wondering about the new Milwaukee M12 right angle die grinder gen2 , it is very nice much better than the gen1, I use it for all sorts of stuff since I bought it earlier this year.
so convenient to have a portable die grinder for cleaning up parts , cutting , grinding , so much you can do with a collection of wire wheels , abrasive pads , cup brushes

if not it will probably sit there get a couple cups used over 6 months and then have to get tossed

don't eat bread hardly any more or baked goods so a sack of flour lasts a long time.

no lone star , all I have is Miller and Pabst, but there is a liquor store just down the road , they don't sell lone star either but could probably get some Coors Banquette or any of the local WI beers

could do biscuit , bacon and egg samiches with a slice of tomato.

you can bring Billy Bob with you if you like

My better half uses the small ones to make special large cookies for friends and family.

I never thought of taking the die grinder pad to them rough or neglected ones. Looks good
