Well, I am confused. In my Lure books it says raccoons are attracted to peppermint oil. However when you google it, it says that it is used to keep raccoons away and repel them. I was working on a trailing scent for raccoons. What is your take???

All the nuisance trappers laugh at that statement about raccoons aren't a repelled by peppermint.

I've got peppermint growing all along my porch yet I had raccoons temporarily under. Cats don't care about it either. Catnip is part of the month family.

Mink musk is a terrific coon attractant, smells tor like someone mixed s bit of skunk essence with mint.
