Dang Joro spiders are everywhere.

Instead of the native single flat web of our native orb weavers these devils like to work in 3D with industrial strength silk.

If you ain't got them yet, you will.

Never heard of them. Just read through Wikipedia. My question that was not answered was why were they introduced down in your part of the US. Just wondering

Supposedly came in on shipping pallets. Savannah and Charleston have been the point of entry of all sorts of nasties.

The native Garden Spiders are a lot prettier than the Yoro Spiders. I think I saw one in Wilmington, Ohio a few weeks ago. It was by a friend's horse trailer and they had just bought a Thoroughbred in North Carolina a few days before. It looked like an odd striped Garden Spider to me. It really does seem like we shouldn't let anything from East Asia come to the US.
