About 9 in NC. A tobacco state. When i started smoking in high school they were about 1.25 to 1.50. Marlboros. At 48 they are working on me i really need to give em up costwise and healthwise

Wowzers smokes got pricey!
I remember we used to save all the “miles” off the Marlboro packs and send those in for free crap: got duffle bags. Fold out felt lined card tables, lighters, all kinds of stuff. My wife and I picked up every pack we found and tore the miles tabs off. We sent in bags of those at a time and got piles of crap in the mailed
One time we got a free carton of Marlboros too. Like manna from hesven when we were ooir and just stating out I life.

Years ago, work took me through Virginia (as I recall) and Copenhagen was 99 cents a can and Camels were around $3 pack. That was less than 25% of the cost here at the time and I spend a BUNCH of money stocking up for the crew.

Yes.its just been the last few years theyve got outrageous. Tobacco paid a lot of bills in this area including on the place i live on but its going out. The sandy loam soil here is great for tobacco and sweet taters

With prices so high on cigarettes, they'll be more people, like Eric Garner, arrested for selling loosies. He was an earlier version of George Floyd, who died from self inflicted medical conditions, during a lawful arrest, that led to massive riots anyways.

There's lot's of cheaper and easier way's to kill yourself or the wife and kid's!

Roll my own--2.49 for 200 tubes,17,00 for a pound of tobacco--so less than a .buck a pack.. Cut down to a half pack a day 2 weeks ago so I am slowly weaning myself from my nicotine craving

When I was in the marine corps they were free. Got a 4 pack with every ration. In Okinawa they were 25 cents a pack. Quit shortly after I got back to the states.

Never smoked, but we were in Destin Florida last summer and I paid $11.54 for ONE can of Grizzly!

Several guy's in my VFW post have used those E-Cigs to quit with great success.
