Man my heart swelled with pride and excitement when I read it! Thinking of how brave she was to jump into something with no mentor or training. Experiencing something that no one can take away from her. And she did it all herself.

Do not take for granted the heritage you have laid before you.
Many of us, like this sweet girl, are the “black sheep” of hunting and trapping.
Excellent read. Way to go Carly!!

Just got my FTA mag. And yes she did a GREAT job writing article....it was well worth the read.
Nice job Carly!
After looking back at the catch pic. inside the magazine it looks like Carly caught that beaver by the back leg???
Trap looks like a New Duke 330 mag or possibly a Belisle.
