Utility pipe work. Waterline, storm drain and sewer. I run a crew for my dad during the week and run my business on the weekends mostly doing conduit bores under roads.

Been 20 years in linework. I started on the highlines, got moved to distribution and now I'm on the underground side of things. And I'll stay there until I retire.

It’s interesting to me to see what everybody does or did for a living.

I’m a residential general contractor (new homes, additions, remodeling, etc).

I also ran a property management business for about 25 years but got out of it two years ago. Owners paid me to manage their buildings, collect rents and ride herd on their tenants.

I’m 67 years old now and I’m slowing down on the general contracting work. I’m slowly transitioning to my third business, custom woodworking.

Work from home software developer. Home is a lake camp in the woods.

Journeyman electrician 20 years, did some tool and die work for a couple years.

I was an arborist / twigger for about 50 years. Most of it dangling from a rope or hanging from a crane in later years. I worked for a company that specialized in removing high risk trees, either over houses or power lines, usually both. Being many of my friends ended up crippled or dead, I always felt fortunate that all I obtained was wear and tear of the body and lots of arthritis. These days at 67, I only do trees for entertainment. I am trying to figure out coyote trapping, but most often find myself at the gun range or chasing muskies.

I’ve been working at a bank for last 35 years, their Asset-Liability manager. I model out our bank’s balance sheet in all kinds of rate environment scenarios to manage our interest rate risk, our liquidity, capital value, and earnings performance, I help make sure the bank stays steady, solid, and performs well no matter what the market throws at us. I also manage the hedge accounting for our derivatives portfolio we use to help mitigate risk.

retired now, had to go on disability before that but before that I worked for C.Sharps first building custom guns then it went to factory guns. In my own shop I did artwork, sculpting /carving and then in the late nineties till '17 I did Japanese Sword restoration as well as checkering for Shiloh Sharps and then back to C.Sharps

Did a couple summers with the USFS surveying an Experimental forest while in college. I started a job in manufacturing when we found out my wife was pregnant. Been doing that since ‘92 with a couple different companies/promotions along the way. Been at the current one for 18 years and I am the Customer Success Manager and have 24 salaried professionals that I manage. Four of those are certified project managers. Job requires some travel at times to customer build sites, but it is mostly domestic USA.

Did some general contractor work on my days off when I was younger but it kept getting in the way of my Chippendales dance schedule so gave it up.
