They both hold beaver well. The dukes come with a PIT pan and the chain is centered on the base. I believe there is a quarter inch difference in jaw spread, but I could be wrong on that. Other than that they are very similar traps.

I have used the dukes. They work great for beaver. Only thing I changed was welded the center locator. It held beaver the way it was, but it made me feel better to weld them.
