Maurob, you get em for sure. Nice hauls.
What kind of sets do you use when targeting skunks?

I use live traps around buildings and dog proofs when I can get a away from catty areas. Seems to work fine.

Yesterday I gave a little trapping instruction to 20 or so kids and maybe a dozen ish adults. We went over all types of sets and dispatch methods as I had a live one in a box trap and we held the class at a small pond area. I skinned a skunk, removed the glands and extracted essence. Answered many questions and alleviated many apprehensions about handling and processing skunks. I had a box of gloves and a few knives set out and let it be known that the kids could explore the anatomy of the carcass if they had an adult keep an eye on them - that was a huge hit - brought out a box of ziplocs and kids were taking feet and assorted organs home.
Ended up handing out DPs and stakes that I had in my truck, alot of excited future trappers because the traps were "tricked out" straight off my line. smile I gotta order some replacements before I set out again next week.
I've given instruction before but this was the most engaged/hands on I have done and it was a huge hit with the audience.

Kudos to Ya!

We need a lot more of this with all species if we want to keep our heritage alive!

Great example of what needs to be done. Thank you for sharing this. I hope it will encourage others to look for opportunities to do similar.
