I have large (90 lbs) GSD that is still in training and I will put him on a 60' cable trolley with a 15' lead to work with him. It came with some weak screen door type springs that attach on each end to absorb shock. They are pretty weak and he can collapse them pretty easy with a good pull. I was thinking of getting a pair of the Conner shock springs to put on each end and one for the lead but not sure which ones to get; the coyote one rated at 75lbs. or the wolf one rated for 130 lbs. ? Can anyone comment on the strength of either one ? I need it to be strong but not to strong that it doesn't give at all under normal load. -Thanks

Mike, I have some if you want to try them. I put them on some Bridger #4 DLS that I modified. I have some extras.

I suggest putting one J.C. Connor Coyote size shock spring close to the dog and a XXX Wolf spring further away. You can put the inline or loop them. That will give you what you want. A soft spring for most of the time, especially after it get's used to the chain. And a big one for those hard charging times so they don't get hurt and it lessens any damage. It should work great.

One wolf spring is too hard for your dog. One coyote spring is too soft for your dog but pretty close to perfect. Use one of each.

My Super Wide will pull your broken down 4 stroke, up a hill backwards, with you on it!
