Would a board ripped to 8 inches be wide enough to work for both traps. I don’t have the traps in yet and want to make sure before I start to make boxes. Thinking 1/2 wood glued and stapled or 23/32 in.

Yes 8 inches should work....my boxes are about 7 1/2 inches inside. The Belisle 120s are a bit different due to the high angled jaw corners,
