080808 OP trapper 0 Joined: Dec 2015 NNY	Want to use 1X8 for 160’s. Target is fisher, occasionally bobcat and raccoons. In NY we are limited to a 6” opening recessed 8”. Any advantage to wooden bottom or just two sides and top? Thanks

MikeTraps2 trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Ames, IA	I have used them for coons a great deal with solid bottoms, the biggest thing I have found for better catches was a hardware cloth back (I use scrap 1/4") and use a pan instead of the triggers on them Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure Theodore Roosevelt

Rat_Pack trapper R Joined: Jan 2007 NY	I'd definitely put a bottom on them so you can put the boxes on leaning poles if needed. Check the archives - should be lots of info on coni boxes
