I know there’s lots of really good, quality beaver lures out there..I’ve had some really decent success with them.
But for some reason, Paul’s back breaker seems to outperform the others,, not just saying it to suck up or anything.

I’ve used it ALOT in the past years and it’s not a fluke kind deal.

I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t find any one carrying it at the Illinois trappers convention a few weeks ago.
I usually pick up a few bottles there to save on shipping..
I’ll probably be placing an order soon to have to have it shipped I guess.
You have a fantastic product Mr Dobbins.

I use it as a change up on coyote sets but I can't keep the long legged ridge coons and the grey fox out of my sets.

I was wondering if Paul got his new beaver lure done from the castor sent from us northern guys. I sent him a couple of pounds myself.

160 should know about Backbreaker on ice cream. He orders it by the 5 gallon bucket. That usually lasts him 3, maybe 4, weeks

Ha! Miss Nancy you may be surprised to know that I very rarely eat sweets. Even as a kid I never really cared for them. Now beef jerky I can eat by the pound but I never had a sweet tooth. It’s one of many character flaws.

I once caught a gray squirrel in cage trap set for raccoons when using Backbreaker as a curiosity lure for the coons on an ADC job. The trap was set in an outdoor shower at an oceanfront cottage. Not a tree within 500 yards.
I know Paul makes two other beaver lures and l bought some about 5 or 6 years ago. He could have stuffed the jars with 100 dollar bills but l wouldn’t know cause l have never opened them up as long l l have Backbreaker! It just works year around. I’ve caught a couple bobcats and coyotes on it too.

I absolutely love Backbreaker for beaver! Didn’t think about it for land sets for coyote and bobcat, but I’m gonna try it now!!

I've whacked everything from beaver to house cats with Backbreaker it's good stuff for sure, rdfx is another good one for me too. I caught my first beaver on coon candy. He climbed 8ft almost straight up my creek bank to get in that 220. But it doesn't taste nearly as good as it smells.... just saying...

I got a partial one ounce bottle of back breaker with a bundle of lures off the trap shed. I knew absolutely nothing about beaver trapping other than what I read from the archives. I caught 2 beaver and an otter the first 24 hrs after making 3 castor mound sets.

I was hooked. I think I have 3 or 4 4oz bottles now, but still using that original partial bottle.

But don’t tell anybody…it’s a secret.

I use a combo of Backbreaker and a loud skunky call lure for cats.
Back breaker works for coyotes too.

Try spots and greys for coyotes. When cats were high Id lure one trap out of every 3 or 4 at gang sets with it and it out performed most. I'd have to look at records but I think a kattz lure out did it.

Dad formulated a real winner in that lure. Thank y'all for all the kind words.
