Last night I had a good one. Was walking down Cherry Tree Lane close to the house I grew up in. It used to have a few doctors offices on it but is now a little more built up. Oddly enough I set some cable restraints (which I’ve never done before) and managed to catch a red fox. There was also a little swampy area and I set footholds for beaver. Trapping dreams are always very vivid and peaceful for me.
Hunting dreams are always more frustrating. The gun that won’t go off or just lobs the bullet out so it falls with a thud on the ground.
I probably dream about fishing the most. And fish in general. Perhaps because of my koi pond but a lot of times, fish are practically jumping out the water into my arms. They say that means you’re gonna get money.

Any recurring outdoor dreams for you guys n gals??

I was a killyman for many years...caught killies, (salt water minnows) for sale to bait shops...7 days a week, all hours following the tide....lot of pressure to keep all my customers happy.

I remember dreaming that I had a great set, all boxes were full!....only to realize waking up that it was just a dream...

Gosh darn it!

Several times I have set the hook on big fish only to fall off the couch or sometimes out of bed……


More than once I have gotten up in the morning after dreaming about hunting or fishing, and started putting on the camo clothes — only to be reminded that I needed to go to work instead.

My hunting dreams always ended up either my gun would not stop bouncing around when I was aiming, or it would fall out of the stand!

I have jerked awake a lot dreaming about a bobbin popping up on a trout line!!

We are hopeless lol!!

Don't remember the last time I remember what I dreamed about.
probably something to do with limited sleep.

But I have had my sabot hit the leave 10' in front of a large doe at 23 yards. I learned dont take that smokeless powder muzzle loader into the warm bouse and back out in the clod unless I was going to shoot it off leave it in the truck.

I honestly don't think I've ever dreamt about hunting, fishing or trapping.

I think everyone dreams, they just dont remember them. If I get up really early in the morning and go back to sleep I have the most craziest dreams and remember them for some reason, maybe because they are fresh in my head?

I dream alot about trapping and hunting.Never about fishing.

I have dreamed several times about finding a secret fishing hole for big crappies. It was in a piped irrigation canal and I was catching them by lowering my bait down through a metal grate and pulling them out one after another. They were BIG crappies and nobody else knew about it LOL.

That is exciting!!!
Once I dreamed I was floating down a little stream in a dark forest that didn’t look like it would hold much and there were fishing rods lined up on either side bending here and there like something was on the line. I woke up reaching out trying to reel something in. Place must have been bewitched! It was cool

Not really a dream but I had a big buck on camera all summer. He disappeared at the same time he did last year. He would have been a dream to harvest. Just found out one of the neighbors got him with bow. I've had 3 years of pictures of him.

I bet that’s tough. As long as he was taken legally and ethically I guess you can’t be too mad…
And at least he didn’t die wastefully on the road

I dream non stop. Mostly it is a mouth full of bubblegum that I keep pulling and pulling out. My teeth usually come out too. Or I’m flossing my teeth with unknown object. Sometimes it ends up being intestines and I wake up with a nasty taste in my mouth.
90 percent of my dreams it’s the dead of night , like 2 o’clock in the morning and pitch black.

Agree, the buck was here for a good long time. I always had an idea where he was and ended up being right. Not upset, he was shot legally. This neighborhood is full of land owners that love the deer a take care of them year around. Good for him.

I think I dream quite a bit but I rarely remember the dreams... just wake up with the knowledge that I had been dreaming but no recollection of what about. If I wake up in the middle of a dream, I'll remember it I actually get up and think about it.... if I just drift back to sleep I'll have forgotten it by the time I wake up again.
