I went through the archives before I asked this question. Does latex paint have any residual odor as far as you guys know??
Since I had the Covid, I did loose some of my sense of smell,,I still have it ,, just not as good as it used to be.

I dip my water traps, bodygrip and dogproofs into a latex/water mixture which actually works pretty darn good,,
But was maybe considering to dip my coyote traps in it.
I boiled a few dozen of my Montanas in walnut hills a few weeks ago,, and I saw rust bleeding through the dye..
The wax I have, that I usually dip traps in,,, is contaminated now,, so I don’t have the wax to cover the traps.

Just trying to save money by using what I have..

I’d have the same amount invested in a few gallons of rust oleum and thinner as I would enough wax with the shipping.

I've used newts stuff which is like latex paint. Never noticed a smell.

I don't like it on traps that has a covered pan bolt as it traps moisture inside and they rust out and you won't notice till you either strip the paint off or you try to adjust the pan and it snaps.
