Do you prefer a second safety or is one on just one spring preferred? And why?

I run a safety on both sides, just because I think it's a little safer for the kids.

I like a safety on each spring.

definitely one on both. Been times I haven't noticed a safety fall off when i'm finagling it. better to have a back up.

Both, 2 safeties are better than one of you use 'em.

Both for the above reasons, and if the safeties are a little long and they are stout traps it is way easier to set the trap with both hands on the jaws. Although I tend lean one jaw against my thigh and set it one handed that way, if you are resetting a trap that is tied down, that often isn't convenient. Also removing animals from traps, two safeties are very nice.

two safeties...its hard to get big coon out of 120s as it is, removing a safety makes it harder.
