Good morning to all my bros and sisters out there. I guess most of you are getting ready to string you lines. None for again this year. I am still trying to find a place to call my own. Not only are real estate prices so, the people in the business don't seem to want your business unless it is for top commissions. Well, I don't have money for a 200k or 300k house so am stuck at the bottom of the pile. The agents either don't respond or when they do respond and they see what you want to just go "POOOF". I spend 8 more many days online searching through many hundreds of houses. If it isn't the banks, agents... then it is the sellers. Was ready to go with bank preapproval on 3 different homes... first house... Lewisville, Monroe Co. ... Owner refused to have the utilities turned on until sale was final. (Bank pulled plug.) 2nd Home... Arrangements made bank preapproval.... set to go meet with agents, home In Guernsey county, Camp ground area, but a permanent home, .... the agent for to tell me You can't live there year round the ground is closed in the winter. Home 3, Couldn't make contact with listing agency, so had to find and other agent from a different agency... Plans set to view, bank preapproval, the agent notifies me the seller is still living in home needs 24 hr notice to view, But also he is demanding to have nothing less then the amount ask and is to be paid in cash at the closing. No checks. (the bank said (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) NO).

Now I have my eye on a couple more properties I have got other than a blanket pre approval from ban covering the cost but not on individual houses. First house is in Steubenville... any readers her familiar with the town or area.....????

The second on house is in Washington Co., Marietta,..... Anyone living there.....????

Right now I am still staying in Westerville, Ohio.... Steubenville is I guess 3 hours from here.

Or does ANYONE know any real estate agents in either place. I need some assistance... winter is here and I need to be out of here before the first of the year. I am paying $110 a month storage for the little bit I have left. And desperately need to get home of my own.
Just a roof over your head isn't enough sometimes. You need peace of mine and a place to find it in.

Love you all... and may God bless us all.

If you are willing to move the MO,KS,AR,NE, etc. small towns have affordable housing ($100-150K) and some cheaper depending on what you want.

I have friends in Steubenville. They moved there from here a few years ago. they say it's an awesome place but I've never been there.

Garry, you might look in Springfield, Ohio for an affordable home. Around 15,000 Haitians fled Springfield over fear of being deported. That's opened up a huge number of cheaper houses to the market in an already cheap area, from white people moving out.

Not sure why you’re setting the standards so high in your situation. I understand the need for independence but is it a realistic approach to the problem at hand? I’d look into the basic services that are available then expand from there if that ever arises.

Just my thought on the subject so take it for what it’s worth it just seems like a more reachable goal.
