Last trap I needed to work on was a mb750 I got earlier this year,, around April or so. The pan was HARD,, I tried to loosen it but the flat screwdriver end was all wallowed and I wound up rounding off the nut…
I can’t get a vice grip in there and I can’t get a cutoff wheel in there either…
So I had the bright idea to cut off using a cold chisel… welp,, I wound up mashing the nut instead of cutting it..
I don’t know if I can drill it out now.

You guys have any ideas??

If you can get an oscillator saw in there with a small carbide blade, that might do it. Otherwise, seems like drilling it out may be your only option.

Just doing what I want now.

Dremel with a stone and grind the bolt head or nut side of the bolt off. Then drive it out with a small punch

A Dremel/die grinder but I would use a bur bit like these they also have longer ones, I’m surprised you couldn’t cut it with the chisel.

I don’t know why I didn’t think about the dremel.. I’ll have to look around to see where I left it….. I need to stop leaving my tools in various places around the house

You can get a small needle nose vice grips on one side to keep screw from spinning while you grind/cut.

I've always wondered why the nut/bolt used on those 750s wasn't a hex head on both ends.

I need to replace all mine.

They can be a priceless tool to have around the shop or work bench.

They make rotary file bits for them as well, that are pretty handy. Just don't get to rammy jammy with them or they won't last long.

Usually when it gets that serious I will break out the small Milwaukee rotary file. I have hundreds of bits for it of all shapes and sizes

The guy took a hammer and chisel to his trap. Why would and should MTP help?

Exactly why I came here to ask for advice…tried to fix it on my own and my ideas weren’t so fantastic.

The Guy is a fellow trapper

That's the why MTP would help!

No problem! Use the dremel/ die grinder like everyone said, and use a punch or nail to knock it out. Wear safety glasses! And gloves!!
