I bought a 2014 Arctic Cat Prowler. The 700 EFI. Good running machine and having had an Arctic Cat 650 TRV I bought new in 2006, and had zero problems with, I was happy to find this machine at a good price.
My issue is the noise in the cab. My gosh it’s loud. I’ve flown in helicopters that weren’t that loud. Is there any way to mitigate the noise in the cab.
I bought the machine to run my trapline because my wife cannot be left alone so she goes with me each day but the volume in the cab makes it impossible to hear anything else.
Trail cameras and fresh snow have broke a lot of trapper’s hearts.

That was my thought. But I wanted to see if anyone had come up with a sure fire way to dampen the noise.

Foam ear plugs, cheap, easy fix. True, but ear plugs don’t help in cab conversations much.

Foam ear plugs, cheap, easy fix. True, but ear plugs don’t help in cab conversations much. Intercom with noise canceling headsets like you have in airplanes. We wear foam earplugs on long rides and can still talk in a Yamaha rhino that is open and loud, also in our ranger. The ranger is enclosed and not as loud as the rhino.
