Nearly half cut off a forefinger 6 weeks ago (not trigger finger ).Miserable already though winter not here yet .Mitten and hand warmer . or move to the tropics . any recommendation on some type of rechargeable warmer .That hand had already been injured years ago and was hard to keep warm now this !

my dad complains of the same 20 years after nearly taking his middle finger on his right hand off with the table saw.

his answer is south FL as soon as Christmas is over until May 1.

he told them when his finger was dangling there just take it off and the hand surgeon said oh no we can do much better than that.
he wishes the just took it off frequently when it is cold and it hurts.

I agree with your dad Pete, had 3/4 of my index finger on my left hand pinched off with a chain, over 30 years ago. Wish I had jut let them take it off instead of reconstructing it. Good luck g smith, if you find something that works please let me know.

I have middle finger at first joint and ring finger cut off from a lawn mower when I was 2 years old. I use mittens and hand warmers now that I'm older. The hand warmer are small and are chargeable using the same cord you use to charge your phone with. I just put inside of glove and works very well.

Warm gloves but I hate to wear any gloves in most situations except for the thinner leather types I handle firewood with but other gloves I have to take them off to get anything done it’s like having 5 thumbs. Never could work in gauntlet gloves it was easier to pull them off and deal with the cold. Maybe that’s why my hands are in such bad shape now.

My right hand had two emergency surgery’s on it due to a rampant infection, early lost it. The nicks cut into the tendon sheaths left some nasty scars and that hand gets cold with a quickness.
I learned that swinging my arms horizontally at near heart level will force blood out to my finger tips. 3 reps of 20 will have my hands go from cold to burning hot with a quickness.

I have an electric vest and socks that have rechargeable batteries, they have gloves and mitts as well, got them on Amazon

Stick another pair of gloves in front of your pants. Switch out as needed.

I hit my index finger with a Skill saw. Doctors saved the finger. It gets very cold when deer hunting. I rely on hand warmers and a muff I wear around my waist to put my hands into. My injury was to the last joint of my non-dominant hand. I also wish it had been amputated at that joint.
