Anyone know any place you can buy the compact cable cutters pictured below? The only places I have seen them are out of stock.

Those are close and they do work great but they aren't the compact model, the cutter end, you can see below, is larger. Thank you though!

I found them last year on some other site, not a trapping supply place, and bookmarked the link to them, but now the link doesn't even go to the website.

Check with Clay Creech. I've bought a couple of those cutters from him this year.

If I can’t find them I’m pretty sure they grew legs and walked out and I’m pretty sure where they went.

You can’t beet a C7 cable cutter!

I have both. I keep the Swiss c7 on my snare building bench but these compact cable cuts just as well, cleanly every single time, and are a lot better to carry on the line. They also don’t cost $75 to replace them.




I have 2 or 3 of them cheap junkers too. They rarely make a clean cut. They are no good imo for cable. Since they don’t cut cable you may as well cut wire with them. They do a good job on #9.

Do the ones you are lookimg for have a brand/model name?

They just say made in the USA. I think they maybe they are made by Koch. That didn’t help my search. I only find the larger ones linked to above.

How compact? Can’t seem to find any smaller than 7 1/2”.

Yep, and they have been for quite some time.

Looks like they were made by a company called Swage-It tools, which was absorbed by U.S. Rigging Supply in 2021. I looked a while and was unable to find any for sale, it may be all over for them baby blue…

I found where the ones you’re looking for maybe discontinued.

It's looking like have been discontinued. Hopefully there's a stock pile of them that will turn up at some point. I'll be very careful not to lose the ones I have until then.

Those are the best cutters, I have cut thousands of cables with them. Have you checked with Cumberland's? That's where I got my last one. You'd probably have to give them a call, I don't remember ever seeing them online.

I asked, they won't sell them separate of the kit. Must not have a big stockpile of them.
