My annual reminder to look for lures if you trap around water. I found these this week.

Visually, or do you also metal detect? I've found a bunch with detector under water, and a couple in the branches over the water, but that's insane.

I find them doing a lot of different things - lure trees, microlocations, wash ups, wading, magnets...

My dad and I used to lure hunt along Table Rock lake as a kid, good memories. I imagine you find lots of other interesting stuff ( artifacts, wallets, etc) What other interesting items have you found along the way?

Three wallets this year so far, cell phones, a box that held cremation remains, a fake slipper that looks like bigfoot, .22 rifle barrel, a trap and drag about 40' off shore, monkey doll, stringers, several nets.... you never know what you will find.

You sure did. That is my point. Depending on where you are you might very well find more money in lures than in rats.

I've found quite a few metal detecting in the water, mostly spoon type lures.

If removing guns saves just one life it's worth it. Then if deporting illegals saves one life is that worth it?

An unsolicited comment -

Buy Brian's book. It's worth it to find more lures. I'm happy with my copy , I learned a lot.
