Been trying to get CJ on a decent buck and went one morning this past weekend and on one hunt we saw 10 different bucks and according to him “not big enough”.
He’d seen the one he wanted on camera and no other buck will do.
It was cool and drizzly all day today so we went this evening after work. Good thing we did because “his” buck showed up with two other bucks chasing a doe around.
After playing musical chairs in the stand I thought it was gonna happen. It was gonna be a long shot but he was confident…you can see how close he came in the video…
Now I’ve been preaching no animal, no matter the size, is worth a rushed bad shot. I’m pretty proud of him for not rushing this evening!

Oh he was ticked…when his momma asked about it, he said “that buck didn’t want the smoke”
He’s learning it’s “hunting” and not “shooting” lol!

Haha! I saved it and will definitely show him in the morning! I used to have those videos on VHS tapes!
