We put out about 30 DP traps today. Opening day here in Minnesota. They were very excited and ready to learn. They are 6 and 8 years old.

Good deal, nice weather get them out there. I am going to wait one more week. Hopefully not a mistake. Last year I waited and you couldn't find a coon.

80 acres of corn along the driveway into hunting land. Lots of sign. Hopefully catch a couple in the morning.

WOw I love it when the kids get into it.

Fantastic! Getting the kids out is my favorite thing. We just put in nine sets and the kids are ready for morning to get here.

Thanks everyone. We had a lot of fun with it and will continue to do as much as we can. Happy to be rid of a few of the best raiders. The coins were actually in decent shape as well.

I set on opening day. Mostly to stop the “itch” of wanting to set traps. I’m not going to get rich this year regardless of when I set.

One farmer said he wasn’t going to do fall tillage till much later. I got out there today and found he had a change of heart. The standing corn of 4-days ago is now just tilled soil!

But, just as I thought, the small ones are slate grey. The big ones are a good, unprime. Due to size, the bigger, the better. Even if they’re a bit early.
