I live in S/W Michigan.
The trees I have access to are barren again this year.
Hoping to do a yard clean-up .
Or possible bartering ?

There's a planting that contains butternut trees a little under 8 miles from me. I found 1 butternut there this year. The butternut canker blight has killed most butternut trees. Most surviving butternut trees have some heartnut genetics. I planted some butternut trees here and none of them made it. I have 4 butternuts I am going to try to grow.

I am going to graft some blight resistant butternut on black walnut rootstock next Spring. I'm hoping it works better.

I hope you can find some.
