What does everyone think about the movie Jeremiah Johnson

Neat movie to watch for entertainment.

History, not so much.

Based on previous posts, I think I'm the only one on here who didn't care for it. lol Watched the whole thing twice thinking I must of missed the good stuff the first time. I'm certain there will be many quotes posted from it though. lol

It was a good story, watched it a few times

I liked the movie.

Watch it on purpose as well as catching it on tv.

I was in 10th grade when it came out We thought it was great back then,, and what it really did was make trapping look better to those potentiol antis.

Watrch clips a few mothes ago,,, just saying it was quite impressive in the ealy 70's,,

We make an attempt to watch whenever it's on tv, great entertainment, never gets old for us.

Got a fine horse under me!

I think it's one of Robert Redford's better efforts. I don't care for some of his other ones.

I remember when it came out it sparked a big interest in muzzle loading guns especially Hawkins and reignited interest in trapping
It was around the bicentennial fever which also fueled the desire for these things
With the 250th coming I don't see the same reaction
Guess the population has shifted intrest
At the time it was a great movie and I enjoyed it
I'll rewatch it once a year historically not accurate but entertaining nonetheless the less

Seen it about a billion times and still usually sit down and watch it when it's on and quote it all the time

It's not super accurate but it's TV people. It's for entertainment.

Guess what, big time wrasslin isn't real, either are monsters or superheroes but it still beats watching the news!!!

I will watch it every few years, or parts of it when I find it on. Always enjoy it. Same for "The Mountain Men' with Brian Keith and Charlton Heston.

10 years ago, on the way home from a Wy pronghorn hunt, my buddy and I stopped at the Museum of the Fur Trade in Chadron Ne. We then drove to Lincoln Ne and got a hotel room for the night and I found Jerimaih Johnson on the TV. Perfect timing!

Pretty good movie.
