When I was beaver trapping I used to get up tight wondering if I took all the safety hooks off the body grips? Or, did I remember to take the safety catch off that last set I made? I was so concerned, one night after I was already in bed, I couldn't fall asleep wondering. So, I went out in my underwear to check my trap basket in the truck to see if it was in there! It was. Then I could fall asleep.

Way to go on the two coons!

If removing guns saves just one life it's worth it. Then if deporting illegals saves one life is that worth it?

Good start to the season.

Always nice to be greeted by a critter at the end of the chain

Yep, not much more exciting than hearing a trap chain ratting as you walk up to a set.

I heard far worse than rattling! This big one was throwing a fit. I think it must have JUST got caught as I was entering the woods.

Lol are you asking about bait? One has mini marshmallows and tutti fruity lure by Milligan. The other has a cherry/nut scented coon grabber with dunlaps blackjack licorice lure.

I am slowly learning to “set on sign” and that means sometimes nothing but finding trails.
I had another one down by a little creek but it didn’t produce.

I believe he's asking if they were boars. You can clean up the pecker bone and use it for a swizzle stick. Bohemian folks where I grew up used them for toothpicks.
