You would be shocked at how little draw weight most of the Native Americans used I don’t think Africans use a lot either.

Stop over cooking your meat! It isn’t gamey, it’s over cooked!

I hate crossbows because they get women and kids involved with hunting before they normally would. More over, they enable the disabled and elderly. In this day and age of decreased attention span, ever increasing screen time, and accommodation, we can’t afford that!

On the other hand, at least it gives fellow hunters a reason to divide.

I don’t hate crossbows, and I have one. I have taken a couple of deer with it, but it did not really feel like it used to, with my old compound bow.
Now that I am healthier after some surgeries, I am going back to traditional bows. I am in the middle of fletching some fir arrow shafts, to be ready for when my new longbow arrives next month.
I am 62, and feel much better now than I did a few years ago, so I am going back to the basics. I have taken a lot of deer with compound bows, but never with traditional gear. My son and I are on a quest to solve that issue soon.
For those that shoot crossbows, good luck to you, and don’t worry about what someone else thinks about it! Carry on!

Nessmuck, it is a Hoodini hybrid longbow, from Great Plains bows, in Kansas!
