Got pulled over today by Paola KS. Truck inspection. ( no ticket) We got to talking and I asked him about truck drivers who don't speak english. He said they are putting them out of service here too. Said they get 3-4 a day. Said they they call ice to check if they are here legally or not. I thanked him and said I was happy to hear it. He wrote driver was very polite on my inspection document. Never had that before.

Thought I was getting pulled over the other day by a state trooper…he threw on the bubbles and pulled behind my truck on an on ramp to the interstate. He sat behind me for a bit and then pullled out to go on and pull over a dump truck. Can’t imagine what he wanted me for but I was happy to see him leave!

I wish the companies that hire those drivers would be held accountable.

Not just the trucking companies. Any company that hires illegals needs to be fined like no other.

they can't read the signs and the cell phone doesn't tell them soon enough to turn off in their language they are lost.
we get cell phone direction truck drivers down the farm road all the time , if it wasn't gravel and you could do 55 it would cut 30 seconds off the county highway , but it doesn't it is narrow and gravel with pot holes you could lose a pinto in.

the companies that hire these drivers should be fined out of existence , just put the truck and load in impound and let them send a legit driver for the load , get the trailer to the owner when fines are paid and the tractor keep till the trial is over.

since ICE shows up and offers your Illegal driver a one way ride home , your trial never happens , wait 2 years and sell those trucks on police auction. talk about a fine what's a used tractor go for 150K.

I suppose the leasing company who actually owns the truck would like to get it back.
got to wonder about the insurance company insuring the truck , do you think if they knew the driver was running on an expired , no good , foreign license they would want to be insuring the trucking company ?

my son turned a wrench for a local garage for about a month when he was 18 , the insurance company called the shop and said , you can keep him if he never drives a customers vehicle because we won't insure him till he is 21 to do test drives or drive at all.

that was the end of his short time as a mechanic , luckily he didn't go into hock on tools I lent him a lot of mine till he could buy his own.
he did spend every dime he made at that job on tools.
and his Christmas money
insurance companies keeping guys that would make good mechanics out of the industry and wondering why they have no mechanics

I welcome anyone to America. But come here legally. If you can’t come here legally. Then you probably aren’t much for following rules. Eventually you will become someone problem.

Trucks are getting towed and impounded. Insurance companies get notified also through FMCSA.

Stinkypete they cant read signs in english or recognize clearance signs, bridge weight limits, or often even the international signs in use now. They can not communicate with truck enforcement officers shippers or receivers without a translation ap on their phone. Many never drove a 4 wheeler pickup or car before coming here. They come from countries where aggressive driving is seen as manly. They work for LLC companies that legal immigrants own, financed with low or O interest government loans our kids are not eligible for. As soon as an illegal operator has a bad wreck they close the doors and reopen under a new name and D.O.T. authority.

I see it everyday here around Columbus Danny. I agree with you 100 percent. I can only imagine what it is like nation wide.

Back in the middle 80s. Illegals got cleaned out of our areas quite frequently. Processing plants and manufacturing got find for hiring them as well.
English should be mandated to be spoken and understand as well.
